Chase Sapphire Reserve Cardholders Can Now Get Up To $750 In Hotel Credits For 2026 Travel

Chase is making it easier for Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ cardholders to squeeze more value out of their travel perks. Starting in 2026, the existing $500 credit for bookings at The Edit will become more flexible. Card members will now receive up to $250 back per stay (up to $500 total), rather than being tied to two six-month windows.

In addition, Chase is rolling out a brand-new $250 statement credit for select hotel bookings made through Chase Travel. Together, these tweaks simplify taking advantage of the benefits that help justify the card’s steep annual fee, especially for travelers who book a few nights away each year.

Credit Score ranges are based on FICO® credit scoring. This is just one scoring method and a credit card issuer may use another method when considering your application. These are provided as guidelines only and approval is not guaranteed.

The Edit Credit: Same $500, Smoother To Use

Previously, Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders had to think in semesters: you could use $250 of The Edit credit from January to June and the remaining $250 from July to December. That timing often forced travelers to split trips or wait six months to unlock the second half.

In 2026, Chase keeps the total at $500 but removes the calendar handcuffs. You’ll automatically receive up to $250 per prepaid booking with The Edit, up to $500 per year, with no midyear reset. Practically, that means you can take two separate prepaid, two-night (or longer) stays early in the year and be done—no strategizing around July.

A few fine points matter. First, the credit triggers only on prepaid bookings and requires a two-night minimum per credited reservation. Second, the per-booking cap of $250 means a single long stay will still only unlock $250. You’ll need a second qualifying booking to reach the full $500. For frequent travelers who dislike arbitrary windows, this is a real quality-of-life upgrade.

New: $250 Credit for Select Hotels Through Chase Travel

Also in 2026, Chase will layer on a separate $250 statement credit for prepaid hotel bookings—again with a two-night minimum—made through Chase Travel at a defined list of brands:

IHG Hotels & Resorts, Montage Hotels & Resorts, Pendry Hotels & Resorts, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Virgin Hotels, Minor Hotels and Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts. This is distinct from The Edit credit and can stack in the same year.

Two value levers make this especially appealing. To begin, Chase Sapphire Reserve® card members will earn Ultimate Rewards® points on any amount paid above the $250 credit. Second, Chase says these bookings are eligible to earn hotel loyalty points on the entire purchase amount, not just the post-credit remainder.

For travelers chasing elite status or free nights, that dual-earning structure removes a common tradeoff when booking through a portal.

Who Benefits Most?

Road warriors who book multiple short stays each year will appreciate the per-booking structure; it mirrors how many people actually travel.

Fans of the listed brands get a straightforward $250 off the top for one stay in 2026. Small-business owners holding the Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ get the same playbook, which is useful if client travel tends to cluster in certain months.

Bottom Line

Chase didn’t raise the total headline value of The Edit credit, but it meaningfully improved how you can use it—and the new $250 on select Chase Travel hotels sweetens the pot for at least one year.

Together, these changes make it simpler to extract real, predictable value from either Sapphire Reserve flavor, whether you travel for work, for status or just for the occasional two-night escape.
