Free Apple TV+ And Music: A Credit Card Makes It Possible

The cost of streaming services can add up quickly, but Apple loyalists get included access to their favorite services with the new and improved Chase Sapphire Reserve®.

The revamped credit card offers cardholders complimentary memberships to Apple TV+ and Apple Music.

Months of Free Entertainment

The Chase Sapphire Reserve® offers cardholders complimentary subscriptions to Apple TV+ and Apple Music through June 22, 2027—a value of $250 annually.

By applying now, new cardholders can get well over a year of free streaming. Currently, Apple TV+ costs $9.99 per month, and an individual Apple Music subscription costs $10.99 per month.

While the Reserve costs applicants a pretty penny at an annual fee of $795, a long list of statement credits and perks—added in the card’s summer revamp—may make it a desirable choice.

To activate your complimentary Apple memberships:

  1. Open the Chase Mobile® app.
  2. Go to the Card Benefits section.
  3. Link your Apple ID through the Apple TV+ and Apple Music prompts.

If you have an active subscription directly through Apple, it will be automatically suspended, as the Chase offers supersede it.

Earn 100,000 bonus points + $500 Chase Travel℠ promo credit after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
Credit Score ranges are based on FICO® credit scoring. This is just one scoring method and a credit card issuer may use another method when considering your application. These are provided as guidelines only and approval is not guaranteed.

Earn on Everything Else

Outside the Apple ecosystem, the Reserve boosts everyday spending with multipliers across a range of categories. Travel, especially, is where the Reserve shines.

Cardholders earn:

  • 8 points per dollar on all purchases through Chase Travel℠, including The Edit℠
  • 4 points per dollar on flights and hotels booked direct
  • 3 points per dollar on dining worldwide
  • 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases

If you’re concerned about unlocking enough value with the card to offset its large annual fee, we recommend digging through the card’s list of perks and benefits to make sure they align with your lifestyle and spending habits before applying.

The updated version of the Reserve includes a $300 annual statement credit for StubHub or Viagogo purchases, annual DoorDash and Lyft credits, a $300 annual travel credit, and statement credits toward The Edit℠ collection hotels, Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurants and Peloton memberships.
